Good Lock could soon become an integral part of the One UI experience. At SDC24, when Samsung talked about One UI 7 on stage, it mentioned Good Lock and said that the app offers “maximum personalization freedom.” Samsung has recently started updating its Good Lock modules in preparation for One UI 7.

Nice Catch – a standalone Good Lock module that can be downloaded from the Galaxy Store – is getting a new update with version number 7.0.00.0. The changelog doesn’t mention this, but the new version of the app supports Android 15.

It’s clear that Nice Catch is ready for the upcoming One UI 7.0 update. I’m guessing that Good Lock and many of the app’s other modules will also be updated to support the next version of One UI.

As for the latest version of Nice Catch, the changelog only mentions “some minor improvements” and a patch for Sound History.

Samsung says One UI 7.0 will officially launch in early 2025. This is supposed to be the biggest overhaul of One UI, so Samsung will take more time to make sure everything is working properly.

It's still unclear whether Good Lock will be more popular with One UI 7.0. Currently, not all users in all regions can download and use the app. Either way, Good Lock and One UI 7 were mentioned at SDC24 together by Samsung, so I hope the company finally removes unnecessary geographic restrictions on Good Lock.
