Nearly three weeks after releasing the December 2024 security update for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra, Samsung is now rolling out the same update for the Galaxy S21 FE.

The new update is now rolling out for the Galaxy S21 FE variant sold in Asia and Africa, which carries the model number SM-G990E. The new baseband version of the device is G990EXXSCFXL2.

The update includes the December 2024 security patches. To check if the Galaxy S21 FE has been updated, navigate to Settings → Software update → Download and install. I hope Samsung releases this update for other variants of the Galaxy S21 FE soon.
