Samsung is still in the process of developing its next major software update. The company has been testing One UI 7 internally on a number of Galaxy devices. Most recently, two Galaxy A series phones, the Galaxy A73 and Galaxy A33, have appeared in the testing list.
According to information from Checkfirm, the Galaxy A73 and Galaxy A33 have been spotted running a test firmware version based on Android 15 with builds codenamed A736BXXUAFXK6 and A336BXXUCFXK6, respectively. This suggests that Samsung is speeding up the development of One UI 7 to be ready to release the update in the near future.
Samsung is expected to launch One UI 7 Beta this month, and the stable version will be officially released with the Galaxy S25 series in January 2025. As usual, Samsung's flagships will be the first to receive the update, before expanding to mid-range models like the Galaxy A series. However, the fact that the Galaxy A73 and Galaxy A33 are participating in the One UI 7 test early is a positive sign, indicating that these devices may receive the update not long after the high-end series.
In addition, Samsung is also expanding One UI 7 testing to many other devices in the Galaxy A series, including the Galaxy A53, A54, and other phone models. With the current testing progress, Samsung is getting closer to officially launching One UI 7 to users around the world.
