Samsung has hidden a few changes of One UI 7.0 from the One UI Beta Program participants for the Galaxy S24 series. While getting my hands on the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra as well as the stable version of One UI 7.0, I discovered something interesting.
More specifically, One UI 7.0 on the Galaxy S25 series has a completely new interface for Nearby Devices. This feature can be accessed from the Quick Panel, which has a very nice interface.
The new Nearby Devices interface lists all the devices near you on the bottom half of the screen and lets you connect the Galaxy S25 series to them instantly by dragging their icons to the center of the screen. It all looks very modern and intuitive.
Additionally, tapping on a device's icon will reveal the sharing and connection features you can use after connecting that device to the Galaxy S25 series.
It’s unclear whether the new Nearby Devices interface will come to other Galaxy phones in the future. There are currently no products other than the Galaxy S25 series that feature the new interface. We’ll report back as soon as we have more information.
Samsung says Nearby Devices only works with Galaxy devices, as well as its TVs and smart displays. Overall, the new interface makes connecting devices in the Galaxy ecosystem easier and more intuitive. However, it’s unclear whether the feature will support other brands in the future.
