Samsung focused very strongly on Galaxy AI in the first half of this year. Anyway, besides Google, they are the first major brand to bring generative AI to phones. Following the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung revealed that many AI features will be coming to a few older Galaxy phone models, starting with the Galaxy S23 series. And today, the list of AI features that will come to this phone line has appeared.

Galaxy S23 users are quite lucky as most of the Galaxy AI features will land on their devices

Samsung has shared that Galaxy AI features on the Galaxy S24 series will land on older Galaxy S23 series devices. Accordingly, almost all major features will be brought to older devices. This is good news for those wondering whether or not they should upgrade their phone just because of AI.

As you can see in the screenshot above, Galaxy S23 series users will experience a multi-functional Search Field, Live Translation, Powerful Note Assistant, and Smart Photo Assistant. Although these are just the basic features of Galaxy AI, I think Samsung can bring more AI features to these devices. After all, their performance is still very strong.

Regarding the Galaxy S22 series, we still don't know whether they will experience Galaxy AI or not. Samsung has clearly stated that it currently has no plans to bring Galaxy AI to the Galaxy S22 series. However, they may reconsider this decision in the future. I hope they do. Another thing you need to keep in mind is that while basic Galaxy features are coming to the Galaxy S23 series, we can't say the same for the paid features.

If you're still using the Galaxy S23 series and waiting for Galaxy AI features to hit your device, rest assured that we'll keep you updated as and when this happens. Just remember to visit SamCafe often!
