Following the Galaxy S24 trio earlier this year, Samsung is preparing to launch the "cheap" Galaxy S24 FE version with many notable upgrades.

According to the latest leaked information, Samsung will introduce the Galaxy S24 FE later this year, along with the high-end Galaxy Tab S10 tablet line. Recently, Android Headlines posted a series of press photos of this "cheap" Galaxy S model. The Galaxy S24 FE will have at least 5 color options including Blue, Graphite, Green, Silver, and Yellow. In addition, Samsung may also provide more exclusive colors on its website.

The Galaxy S24 FE continues to follow the design language of this year's S24 series with two flat glass panels on both the front and back, a square aluminum frame, and four rounded corners. The screen border of the device has been made thinner than its predecessor, the S23 FE, but is still slightly thicker than the S24 and S24 Plus.

The screen is a strong upgrade point of the Galaxy S24 FE compared to the previous generation. Not only is it larger (6.7 inches), but this screen also has a maximum brightness of 1,900 nits, which is higher than last year's Galaxy S23 Ultra. In addition, it is also protected by Gorilla Glass Victus +, with an optical fingerprint sensor integrated below. The resolution and screen refresh rate of the Galaxy S24 FE are FHD + and 120Hz respectively, unchanged from the previous generation.

In terms of configuration, the Galaxy S24 FE will use the Exynos 2400 processor in most markets, while the US version will be favored with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The RAM and ROM capacity of the S24 FE has not been revealed, but it will most likely be 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB of internal memory. With a 4,565mAh battery, Samsung claims the Galaxy S24 FE can last up to 78 hours of music playback and 29 hours of video playback on a single charge.

The Galaxy S24 FE is equipped with a 10MP front camera, a 50MP main camera, a 12MP wide-angle camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera (supporting 3x optical zoom). The device still has a dual stereo speaker system, IP67 water resistance, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. Unfortunately, the maximum charging capacity of the device still only stops at 25W.

When launched, the Galaxy S24 FE will have the latest One UI 6.1.1 interface (based on Android 14) pre-installed with full Galaxy AI features such as Portrait Studio, Generative Edit, Circle to Search, Sketch to Image, and Live Translate. Most likely, this model will enjoy the same 7-year software update policy as the other S24 devices.

The price of the Galaxy S24 FE has not been revealed yet, but it is expected to be equivalent to the starting price of $649 of last year's S23 FE.
