Samsung has unveiled a new mid-range smartphone model – Galaxy A35 – which features a modern design and improved cameras. This is the successor to the Galaxy A34 with a faster processor and brighter 120Hz OLED screen. This is also one of the first two mid-range phones to run One UI 6.1.

The Galaxy A35 has a faster Exynos 1380 processor and better camera quality

Galaxy A35 has a more modern design. The screen has a small hole cut out to leave room for the camera. Although still using a plastic frame, Samsung uses Gorilla Glass Victus+ for the Galaxy A35 to protect the screen. The frame near the side and volume keys is slightly raised.

The product is equipped with a 6.6 "Super AMOLED screen with Full HD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Thanks to the new Vision Booster feature, the Galaxy A35's screen can reach 1000 nits in direct sunlight. Besides, the product has an optical fingerprint sensor under the screen, stereo speakers, and an IP67 dust and water resistance rating.

Samsung has improved the photography capabilities of the Galaxy A35. The product has a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5MP telephoto camera at the rear. There's also a 13MP camera on the front. The product can record 4K30 movies with both front and rear cameras. Samsung said the product supports video digital image stabilization (VDIS) and Super HDR.

Galaxy A35 is equipped with an Exynos 1380 5nm processor, 6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB memory, and supports a microSD card. The new processor has CPU and GPU performance that are 18% and 15% faster, respectively, good enough to handle most mobile games today. Exynos 1380 is the processor inside last year's Galaxy A54.

Connectivity of this phone model includes GPS, 5G, dual physical SIM, eSIM, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a USB-C port. The product is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. Galaxy A35 will have four color options: cool blue, lavender purple, lemon yellow, and army green.

The Galaxy A35 runs One UI 6.1 right out of the box and will receive four Android operating system updates

The Galaxy A35 runs One UI 6.1 based on Android 14 and will receive four major Android OS updates and five years of security updates. The product supports advanced security features such as Auto Blocker, Samsung Knox, and Samsung Knox Vault. Automatic blocker is a new security measure from Samsung that prevents applications from unauthorized sources from being installed on the device. Additionally, it checks applications and blocks malicious commands from entering the system when the phone is connected to another device using a USB cable.
