Samsung is rolling out the February 2024 security update on its smartphone devices, starting with the Galaxy Z Flip 3. Earlier yesterday, the Galaxy A71 5G received the security update for February 2024. Also on the same day, it was launched for two mid-range devices Galaxy A51 5G and Galaxy A53.

The February 2024 security update for Galaxy A51 5G is now available across Europe. It carries firmware version A516BXXS8FXA1. Meanwhile, the new security update for Galaxy A53 has firmware A536EXXS8DXA8 and is available in Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Caucasus region, UAE, Tunisia, Turkey and Ukraine.

The February 2024 security update includes security patches that fix 72 security bugs found in the previous software version on the Galaxy A51 5G and Galaxy A53. To check for and download the update, go to the Settings app > Software Update > Download and install.

Galaxy A51 5G was launched in early 2020 and is equipped with Android 10 right out of the box. It received the Android 11 update in late 2020, the Android 12 update in late 2021, and the Android 13 update in late 2022. The Galaxy A53 was launched in early 2022 with Android 12 pre-installed. It received the Android 13 update in late 2022 and the Android 14 update in late 2023.
