After releasing One UI 6.0 Watch for the Galaxy Watch 5 series, Samsung has started rolling out an update for the Galaxy Watch FE. This is the first major OS update for the product.

Galaxy Watch FE gets One UI 6.0 Watch based on Wear OS 5 with many new features

One UI 6.0 Watch based on Wear OS 5 is now available for download for the Galaxy Watch FE in most regions around the world, including Asia and Europe. The update has the baseband version R861XXU1BXI4 and the download size is around 1759MB. The September 2024 security patch is also included.

Some users have reported that after updating to One UI 6 Watch, their device received another update that is 345MB in size.

If you own a Galaxy Watch FE, you can download One UI 6.0 Watch by opening the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone and navigating to Watch Settings โ†’ Watch Software Update โ†’ Download and Install.

What's new in One UI 6.0 Watch?

One UI 6.0 is based on Wear OS 5. The update improves and adds many new features, including AI Sleep Algorithm, Wellness Assistant, Energy Score, Workout Mode, and more.

In addition, there are improvements to the interface and user experience, including a stylish new font, Double Pinch Gesture, Suggested Reply to Messages, and more.

The Mode and Schedule apps now support more conditions and features, including Always-On Display, Disconnection Alert, Do Not Disturb, Raise Wrist to Wake, Sound Mode, Rotate to Wake, and Screen Tap to Wake.

One UI 6.0 Watch also makes it easier to access your favorite emojis. You can also save photos received via messages to the Galaxy Watch FE's internal storage and open them using the Gallery app.

To improve battery life, you can limit health and fitness tracking features by turning on Power Saving. If you play music using certain apps, the music will be played through the Galaxy Watch FE's built-in speaker. Otherwise, it will automatically connect to wireless headphones or speakers.
