After months of testing and bug fixes, Google has finally released the stable version of Android 15. However, the update has not yet arrived on any phones or tablets, including the Pixel line. It will take at least a month for the stable version of Android to reach phones and tablets.

Android 15 Stable Released

The stable version of Android 15 was released a few days ago and is available for download by software developers. Typically, when Google releases the source code for a new version of Android, an update is also rolled out to the Pixel line, but this year is different. Android 15 has not yet been released to any Pixel phones or tablets. They will likely have to wait another month.

Google also revealed that phones from Samsung and other brands will start receiving Android 15 β€œin the coming months.” This information is quite vague and not very helpful.

Fortunately, it is rumored that Samsung will launch the One UI 7 Beta Program later this month. The program was supposed to start last month, but Samsung delayed the release of the One UI 7.0 beta to focus on releasing One UI 6.1.1 instead.

Developers can now start testing their apps and games on Android 15 to ensure compatibility. The new version of Android gives them more details, including why the app is launching, how much storage space it takes up, an improved built-in PDF viewer, and a better 3D drawing canvas. App and game developers can also test new Android 15 features.

Samsung could open the One UI 7 Beta Program to the Galaxy S24 series first, and then add support for more flagship phones, including the Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy A55. The One UI 7 Beta program is likely to be held in China, Germany, India, the UK, and the US.

Some of the features of One UI 7.0 have been leaked. Accordingly, the user interface will be improved with a new Quick Panel, redesigned native apps (including the Camera), smoother animations, new battery charging animations, etc. More features may be revealed with the One UI 7.0 beta.
