Samsung has sent out a notification to users that it will begin updating One UI 6.1 for older flagship devices on March 28. The company kept its promise by releasing the update for the Galaxy S23 series. Now, Galaxy Z Fold 5 users are also getting new AI features.
The One UI 6.1 update is now available for Verizon Galaxy Z Fold 5 users in the US, as well as in Europe with code name F946BXXU1CXCF/ F946BOXM1CXCF/F946BXXU1CXCF. It brings to Samsung's 2023 flagship foldable most of the AI features already present in the Galaxy S24 series. Besides, there are several other improvements to help the device operate more stably and smoothly.
Apart from the Galaxy Z Fold 5, most other high-end Galaxy devices from last year will also receive One UI 6.1 starting March 28. These include the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and the Galaxy series Tab S9. If you are using these devices, check by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
One UI 6.1 is a huge update with a download capacity of up to 3GB. So before starting the process, make sure your device's battery capacity is large enough and use a Wi-Fi connection to avoid any problems. The rollout may be later in some regions, so don't worry if you haven't received this update today.
