One UI 6.1 was launched at the same time as the high-end Galaxy S24 phone line, bringing many interesting features and improvements. One of the most anticipated camera features is the Motion Photo feature, and it is being planned by Samsung to be released on older Galaxy devices that have been updated to One UI 6.1.
Motion Photo is a feature that not only provides still photos but also dynamic photos. It allows the camera to record the moments before and after the user presses the shutter button for a few seconds and then creates a short moving video.
Here is the list of Galaxy smart devices that will soon get the Motion Photo feature of One UI 6.1:
- Galaxy S22 series
- Galaxy S23 series
- Galaxy Z Fold 5
- Galaxy Z Flip 5
- Galaxy S23 FE
- Galaxy Tab S9 series
- Galaxy Z Fold 4
- Galaxy Z Flip 4
You can easily enable this feature through the Camera's Photo Mode. To do it, just open Camera > Quick Settings > tap the Moving Photos icon to activate.
Galaxy S24 allows users to take photos continuously without worrying about storage capacity thanks to the video compression algorithm. It also ensures that the quality of Motion Photo videos matches the quality of still photos through the Preview HDR mode.
One of the most notable points is the advanced AI feature that allows you to split a moving Photo Frame into a still image with 12MP resolution, capturing details of even the briefest moments.
One thing to note is that Motion Photo is not available in Night mode. Therefore, you need to turn off Night mode before using the Dynamic photo feature.
Samsung is constantly working to enhance the photography capabilities of its smartphones, ensuring users can capture their memories in the best way possible. With devices updated to One UI 6.1, they will soon get this awesome Live Photo Capture feature.
