Samsung is continuing its string of software updates for its devices by releasing the December 2024 security patch for the Galaxy Z Flip 4. This is the latest update after the company introduced the second beta of One UI 7.0 based on Android 15 for the Galaxy S24 series.
The update is now rolling out to carrier-locked Galaxy Z Flip 4 models in the United States with the product code SM-F721U. The new software, which has the build number F721USQS7GXKC, brings security improvements and fixes some previously identified vulnerabilities.
If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 4, check for a software update notification in the next few days. If you haven't received it yet, you can check and download it manually by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Samsung is expected to extend the December 2024 security patch to other versions of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in the near future. In addition, this device is also eligible to receive the One UI 7.0 update based on Android 15, which promises to bring many new features and improvements.
One UI 7 is expected to be deployed to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 after the Galaxy S25 series is officially launched on January 22, 2025. Therefore, users will need to wait at least another month to experience this update.
