After analyzing the APK file of the latest version of the Samsung Health app, Android Authority discovered that the company is planning to add a useful new feature to the Galaxy Watch line. You'll soon be able to track health data collected by your child's or another family member's watch on your phone.
There will of course be an approval process to allow one Samsung account to view the health data of another Samsung account. There are tools for privacy and security testing that will be implemented to ensure this feature is not abused. Anyone in the family group can stop sharing data or change what's shared. Access to a child's health information will require consent from a legal guardian.
Shared data will be automatically deleted and viewing permissions will be revoked after a long period of inactivity. You will then have to go through the entire approval process again. To get regular data, your child or other loved one needs to wear the Galaxy Watch constantly.
There is a high possibility that the above feature will be introduced with the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra. However, nothing prevents Samsung from bringing the above feature to older Galaxy Watch models. Hopefully they will do the same with the One UI Watch 6 update.
