Galaxy A05 is the next low-cost smartphone model that will be launched by Samsung in the near future. This phone was recently spotted on several certification sites with model numbers SM-A055F and SM-A055M.
Cheap Galaxy A05 will launch soon
Today, the SM-A055F variant of the Galaxy A05 has just been performance-tested on Geekbench. Thanks to that, we got some configuration information for this phone.
Specifically, data from Geekbench shows that the Galay A05 will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 chip (MT6769V/CZ). This is a pretty good upgrade over the Galaxy A04 using the Helio P35 SoC.
While both are 12nm chips, the G85 has two Cortex-A75 cores (2.0GHz) and six A55 cores (1.8GHz), compared to eight Cortex-A53 cores on the P35. This helps Galaxy A05 have better single and multi-core performance than the previous generation. And yet, the Mali-G52 MC2 is more than twice as fast as the PowerVR GE8320 GPU.
Galaxy A05 revealed quite good performance score on Geekbench
The Galaxy A05 variant tested on Geekench has 4GB RAM and runs on Android 13 Go operating system. In terms of performance, the machine scored 419 points in the single-core test and 1,386 points as a result of the multi-core test.
Hopefully in the near future, we will see more information about Galaxy A05 appearing on websites.
