Samsung is rolling out a new One UI 7 beta update for its Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 2024 foldable phones. The latest update not only brings a number of improvements but also adds a convenient shortcut to access the Google Gemini assistant.
According to 9TO5Google, One UI 7 Beta 3 for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 is now officially available. Interestingly, this update was released just a week after Beta 2 and less than a month since the first beta was introduced.
One of the most prominent features of this update is the ability to change the default virtual assistant when holding down the power button. Instead of Bixby, users can now choose to use Google Gemini, making the experience more flexible and tailored to individual needs.
In addition, the update also brings a series of new features such as call recording summary, Audio Eraser tool to remove unwanted sounds, and natural language search in settings. In particular, the Best Face feature has also been improved to support users in choosing the most beautiful expressions in photos thanks to the AI system analyzing frames from short motion videos (Motion Photo).
This update is more than 1GB in size and includes the April 2025 security patch. This is one of the first updates from Samsung to integrate this new security patch. Many sources believe that this will be the last beta for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 before Samsung officially deploys One UI 7 on April 7 in Korea and April 10 in the United States.
