Recent leaks have suggested that One UI 8 is in active development and is expected to launch in the second half of this year, possibly right after the launch of the next-generation foldable phones. Before the public release, Samsung will launch a beta program for early testers, as has been the case with previous One UI releases.

An exclusive report from SamMobile recently confirmed that the One UI 8 beta program will officially begin around the third week of May. However, the initial rollout will be limited to select devices and markets. The expansion to other regions could take place in June.

The first One UI 8 beta build has been spotted, suggesting that the rollout is on track. Previously, some internal beta builds had surfaced, revealing new features and minor changes to the interface and user experience.

One UI 8 will focus on refining existing functions rather than bringing groundbreaking features like One UI 7. However, this update is still worth waiting for because it will bring Android 16, the latest version of Google's operating system, to eligible Galaxy devices.
