Just two days after releasing One UI 7 Beta 4, Samsung continues to surprise Galaxy S24 Ultra users with the Beta 5 update. This move shows that Samsung is rushing to complete the stable version of One UI 7.
YouTube content creator Jeff Springer posted that he received the One UI 7 Beta 5 update, with the software version ending in ZYBB. Reddit user luxojr_wky also confirmed that the update has started rolling out to Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra models in the US, including unlocked devices.
One notable point is that this update is only 436MB in size, significantly smaller than the previous Beta 4, which was up to 1.4GB in size. This shows that One UI 7 Beta 5 mainly focuses on bug fixes rather than adding new features. The changelog only mentions that this update fixes the VVM app crash issue (possibly related to Visual Voicemail).
Previously, many leaks suggested that One UI 7 Beta 5 would be released in March, but Samsung actually rolled it out earlier in February. Some reports also predicted that there would be six betas before the stable One UI 7 update is released for the Galaxy S24 series. However, the operators on Samsung's official forum had previously stated that Beta 4 was the final test version. Now, with the arrival of Beta 5, this information seems to be not entirely accurate.
Samsung has not yet made an official statement on the progress of the One UI 7 update. For now, users can only wait and watch for further moves from the company.
