Samsung Reminds Users to Migrate Samsung Pass to Samsung Wallet

Samsung continues to push forward with its integration efforts by reminding users to migrate Samsung Pass to Samsung Wallet. While this has been going on for quite some time, not everyone has been aware of the change. To make sure everyone is aware of it, Samsung has been emailing notifications to many customers, including us.

If you don’t remember, Samsung has been planning to merge Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass into Samsung Wallet for almost three years. The goal is to streamline the app ecosystem, eliminate duplicate software, and provide a more unified user experience. Once the transition is complete, Samsung Wallet will be the single platform to store passwords, payment information, digital assets, and more.

According to official information, autofill features from Samsung Pass will continue to work in the Quick Access section of Samsung Wallet. Once the migration is complete, the Samsung Pass icon will be removed, but all data will remain in the Samsung Wallet. If you need quick access, you can use the Shortcut feature in this new app.

Samsung Wallet not only replaces Samsung Pass, but also supports many other features, including storing and accessing payment cards, gift cards, membership cards, medical cards, digital assets, smart keys, and boarding passes. With this change, the Wallet app will also take over the password management duties that Samsung Pass previously handled.

To set up Samsung Pass in Samsung Wallet, simply open the Wallet app, go to the Menu section, and turn on Autofill. Then, when you log in to any website or app, you will see a pop-up asking to save your login information. Just tap Save, and next time, you can authenticate with your fingerprint to quickly login without having to re-enter your password.

Samsung is accelerating this transition and encourages users to complete the data migration as soon as possible for a more seamless experience. If you haven’t made the switch yet, now is the time to do it!
