Samsung releases February 2025 update for Galaxy S23 but still no One UI 7.0

After rolling out the February 2025 security update for the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung has now rolled out the patch to the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra. The update is currently available in South Korea and is expected to roll out to other markets around the world soon. However, many users are most concerned about the fact that there is still no official information about the One UI 7.0 update for the Galaxy S23 series.

The February 2025 security update for the Galaxy S23 has the firmware version S91*NKSU5CYB1, which comes with improvements to Wi-Fi stability and more than 40 security patches, including Android vulnerabilities that Google has fixed. Samsung is prioritizing the release of this patch before expanding the One UI 7.0 update to eligible devices.

While monthly security updates are important to keep your device protected, most users are now looking forward to One UI 7.0. The new interface debuted with the Galaxy S25 last month, bringing a host of AI and user interface improvements. The Galaxy S24 series is expected to be the next to receive One UI 7.0, before Samsung expands the rollout to older models, including the Galaxy S23.

It took Samsung nearly four months to prepare for One UI 7.0, and it's clear that this is no ordinary update. The major changes to the interface, user experience, and advanced AI features have users eagerly waiting. Hopefully, Samsung will soon make an official announcement about the One UI 7.0 rollout plan so that Galaxy S23 users can experience the latest upgrades in the near future.
