Samsung has just rolled out the February 2025 security update for the Galaxy A52s 5G, which improves security and system stability. This is good news for users of this model, however, the new update is currently only available in Korea.
This update has version number A528NKSS6GYB1 and only applies to model SM-A528N, which is the Galaxy A52s 5G version sold in the Korean market. There is no information yet on when other global variants will receive this update, but Samsung is expected to expand the update coverage soon.
If you are using the Galaxy A52s 5G in Korea, you can check and install the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and Install. If you don't see the update appear, wait a while or check back later.
Unfortunately, the Galaxy A52s 5G won't be getting One UI 7.0 based on Android 15, as it's not on the list of eligible devices. Its last major update was One UI 6.1 based on Android 14. If you're considering an upgrade, you might want to consider the Galaxy A55, or if you wait a little longer, the Galaxy A56 might be a better choice with its many hardware and software improvements.
Samsung hasn't announced a security update schedule for other markets yet, but Galaxy A52s 5G users globally can expect the patch to arrive soon. Stay tuned for the latest updates on Galaxy devices!
