Samsung is rolling out the February 2025 security update for its two feature phones, the Galaxy A13 and Galaxy A13 5G. The update is aimed at improving security and fixing various software vulnerabilities, making the devices more stable and secure.
The Galaxy A13 and Galaxy A13 5G are currently receiving security updates on a quarterly basis, meaning this is the first of four that the devices will receive this year. The update for the carrier-locked Galaxy A13 in the US is version A135USQSBEYA1, while the Galaxy A13 5G in Europe is getting version A136BXXSADYB1. Samsung is expected to continue expanding the update to other regions in the coming time.
Galaxy A13 users can check for and install the update manually by going to Settings, selecting Software update, and then tapping Download and Install. In case the device is not showing the update yet, users can wait or download the firmware from a trusted source to install it using Odin on a Windows computer.
Despite receiving the new security patch, the Galaxy A13 and Galaxy A13 5G will not be among the devices upgraded to One UI 7.0 based on Android 15. Meanwhile, the newer Galaxy A series has started receiving support for up to four OS upgrades, reflecting Samsung's commitment to extending the software lifecycle for recently launched devices.
