After being released in Korea a few days ago, Samsung has started rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy S25 series in many other markets, starting with Australia. In the coming time, this update will continue to reach users in other countries.
This update brings some notable changes, especially the addition of the direct music playback control feature on the Now Bar, which was present on previous Galaxy devices but was missing on the Galaxy S25 series. Now, when listening to music or watching videos, users can see the music playback icon in the upper left corner of the screen, tapping on it will bring up a convenient small control panel. At the same time, the media control feature from the notification area has also been added, instead of only being displayed in the quick settings panel as before.
In addition, the update also brings a smoother new battery charging effect, improves system stability, and integrates the April 2025 security patch to enhance device protection.
This update has a firmware version ending in โAYD9โ. Users can check and download it by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
