Samsung One UI 7 adds frame options to Game Booster

 

Samsung continues to upgrade the gaming experience on the Galaxy S25 series with One UI 7, bringing more customizations to gamers through Game Booster. With the combination of the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a larger vapor chamber, this new flagship series promises smoother gaming performance. In particular, One UI 7 adds two new options to help gamers control the frame rate more easily right in Game Launcher.

The first feature is “Motion Smoothness in Gaming”, which allows Galaxy S25 users to set the screen refresh rate at 120Hz or 60Hz. This option helps optimize the gaming experience, especially for games that do not have their own refresh rate settings. However, it should be noted that if the game does not support 120Hz, selecting this mode in Game Booster will not bring significant changes.

How to set “Motion Smoothness in Gaming” on Galaxy S25:

  1. Open the Game Launcher app.
  2. Tap the three-dot icon in the top right corner.
  3. Select Game Booster from the list.
  4. Tap “Motion smoothness in games”.
  5. Choose between 120Hz or 60Hz depending on your needs.

The second option in Game Booster allows you to limit the frame rate (FPS) on individual games. Previously, One UI only provided a general limit of 48Hz, but now players can customize the FPS to specific levels such as 20, 30, 40, 50, or 60Hz. This helps gamers balance performance and battery life for different games.

How to limit the frame rate for individual games on One UI 7:

  1. Open the Game Launcher app and tap the three-dot menu.
  2. Select Game Booster from the list.
  3. Tap “Customize for individual games”.
  4. Select the game you want to adjust.
  5. Tap “FPS” and drag the slider to set the desired frame rate.

Currently, these customizations are only available on the Galaxy S25 series, but the Galaxy S24 can also experience them through the One UI 7 Beta. In the future, when the update is officially deployed widely, other Samsung devices will have the opportunity to enjoy these gaming improvements.
