Samsung has just explained why it suddenly stopped releasing the One UI 7 update, but users may not be satisfied with the answer.

After months of delay, One UI 7 based on Android 15 started rolling out on April 7, 2025, bringing a new experience to many Galaxy device users. However, just a few days later, this update was quietly removed from the server by Samsung. This disappointed many people, especially after a long wait and a longer-than-usual beta test.

Now, Samsung has finally spoken up. In an official response sent to Android Authority, a company representative said, โ€œWe are updating the One UI 7 release schedule to ensure the best user experience. The new release time and region will be announced soon.โ€ However, this announcement is quite vague and does not specifically mention the reason or a clear time frame, making users even more impatient.

Many sources have suggested that the cause could be a serious software bug or even an issue related to the Exynos 2400 processor on some Galaxy S24 devices. However, Samsung has yet to confirm or deny any of these theories. What's more, the update has been delayed much longer than expected.

Ironically, while One UI 7 has yet to reach all users, Samsung has apparently begun internal testing of One UI 8. A recently discovered build suggests that the next version is in the development stage, and it's possible that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 will come with One UI 8 pre-installed when they launch in July.
