Samsung continues to push One UI 7 Beta updates with a new release for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6. After expanding the beta program for these devices last week, the company has rolled out the Beta 2 update with several important improvements and bug fixes.
The new Galaxy Z Flip 6 update carries the ZYC8 version number, while the Galaxy Z Fold 6 update ends with ZYC7. Both updates weigh in at around 700MB and are now available in India, Germany, Poland, South Korea, and the UK. Users can check and download the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
This One UI 7 Beta 2 update focuses on fixing some bugs that affected the user experience on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6. Specifically, Samsung has fixed the battery widget overlapping issue, animation issues when navigating to the home screen, as well as screen errors while playing games. In addition, the update also fixes the issue that caused the calendar widget to not be able to change size.
The official changelog of the update also mentions fixing the left-shifting issue of the quick camera control button, the wrong media icon error on the status bar, and the battery display issue on the cover screen. Some users have also previously reported that some apps could not work on the cover screen of the Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Samsung confirmed that this bug has been fixed.
In addition, the NFC tag recognition issue when the phone is folded has also been addressed, along with many other improvements to optimize the overall experience. With this update, Samsung is gradually completing One UI 7 before launching the official version in the near future.
