Samsung continues to roll out the February 2025 security update to Galaxy devices worldwide. Recently, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable phones in the US have started receiving this patch.
The update is now available for both locked and unlocked versions of the two devices. For locked devices, users on Verizon, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, USCellular, and Comcast can download it. The corresponding software versions are F946USQS5DYA5 for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and F731USQS5DYA5 for the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
For unlocked devices, the software version will be F946U1UES5DYA7 for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and F731U1UES5DYA7 for the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
This update does not bring any new features or notable changes. Instead, it focuses on adding the latest security patches developed by Google and Samsung, which are aimed at fixing security vulnerabilities and protecting the device from potential external threats.
In addition to improving security features, the update also includes a number of system performance optimizations and enhanced stability in daily use, providing users with a smoother and safer experience. Samsung has rolled out this update in the US and will soon expand to other regions.
