Samsung continues to roll out the latest security updates for the Galaxy S24 series, just ahead of the official release of One UI 7.0. While many users were expecting the One UI 7.0 beta update for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6, Samsung unexpectedly rolled out the March 2025 security patch. And now, the Galaxy S24 series has also received the same update.
The March security update for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra is now available in South Korea. The update comes with firmware version S92xNKSS5AYB1 and is about 280MB in size. This version focuses on fixing many critical security flaws that were discovered in the previous months, helping to strengthen the protection of the device.
This could be the last update before Samsung releases the stable version of One UI 7.0. Users in South Korea can check for and download the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Alternatively, once the new firmware is added to Samsung's database, users can download the corresponding firmware file and flash it manually as an alternative.
The update is expected to roll out to Galaxy S24 devices in more countries in the coming days. Meanwhile, the One UI 7.0 Beta program has gone through four testing updates for the Galaxy S24 series. Samsung is likely to end the beta program in April, before officially rolling out the stable version of One UI 7.0 by the end of April 2025.
