Samsung continues to expand the rollout of the February 2025 security update for Galaxy devices. After the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S24 series received the update, the company has now released the latest patch for the Galaxy S23 FE – the budget flagship of 2023.
Currently, this update is only available for the Galaxy S23 FE version in South Korea with the model number SM-S711N. The accompanying software version is S711NKSS5BYB1, which improves security and fixes some system vulnerabilities. There is no information yet on when Samsung will expand this update to other markets, but it is likely to happen in the next few days.
Galaxy S23 FE users in South Korea can check for and install the update via Settings > Software update > Download and install. If you haven't seen the update yet, you can wait a little longer or download the firmware file from a trusted source and install it via Odin on your Windows PC.
In addition to the security update, the Galaxy S23 FE is also on the list of devices that will receive One UI 7.0 based on Android 15 in the near future. The new software version is expected to bring a redesigned interface, many new AI features, and smoother animations. Samsung plans to roll out One UI 7.0 to eligible devices in the coming months, and the Galaxy S23 FE could be among the early adopters.
