Samsung continues to maintain its monthly security update schedule, despite the delay of the One UI 7.0 update. The company recently released the February 2025 security update for the Galaxy S21 series.
According to the latest information, the update is now available in Europe, starting with Switzerland, and will soon be rolled out to other countries in the region. The new software version, G99xBXXSEGYA2, applies to all devices in the Galaxy S21 series, including the S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra models with corresponding codes G991BXXSEGYA2, G996BXXSEGYA2, and G998BXXSEGYA2.
This update focuses on improving security and fixing dozens of vulnerabilities discovered in previous versions. This is part of Samsung’s ongoing efforts to protect users from potential cyber threats.
Galaxy S21 users in Switzerland can already download and install the update by going to Settings, then selecting Software Update and tapping Download and Install. If you haven’t seen the update yet, be patient as the rollout usually happens in stages.
Samsung is expected to expand the February 2025 security patch to other countries in the coming days. Meanwhile, users are still waiting for the One UI 7.0 update, which will include many interface improvements and new features that are expected to be released in the coming months.
