The Galaxy A56, Samsung's most feature-packed mid-range smartphone in 2025, has just received its first software update since its launch. The device was released in March with Android 15 and One UI 7 pre-installed. Now, just about a month after its launch, the first update has been rolled out.

This update brings the April 2025 security patch to the Galaxy A56, with the software version A566BXXS2AYD3. The rollout has already begun in Thailand and is expected to expand to other markets in the coming weeks.

Although there are no new features, the security patch is still important, especially for a newly launched device. According to Samsung, this April patch includes a total of 56 fixes related to potential security vulnerabilities in the system.

Galaxy A56 users can check for and install the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Thanks to seamless updates, you can continue using your device during the update process, then simply reboot to apply the new software.

The Galaxy A56 is part of Samsung's long-term software support roadmap, with 6 years of security updates and 6 generations of Android OS upgrades. For the first three years, the device will receive monthly security patches, then switch to a three-monthly cycle until 2031. This is a big plus for users who want to use their device stably for a long time.
