Some Galaxy S25 users have recently encountered a strange bug that causes the Phone app to freeze and audio to be lost when receiving calls using Bixby voice commands. Fortunately, Samsung has identified the cause and quickly released a fix.

Bixby is Samsung's virtual assistant that allows users to control their phones with their voices. With the Bixby Wakeup feature, the device listens and responds when users say "Hi Bixby". However, a bug in the Wakeup module on the Galaxy S25 series causes the Phone app to freeze and audio to be interrupted when there is an incoming call.

According to a post on the Samsung community, this bug originates from version 2.6.11.18 of the Bixby Wakeup app. When a call comes in, the voice recognition processing cannot be performed normally, resulting in the app freezing and no sound being played.

Samsung has released a new update for Bixby Wakeup (version 2.6.13.2) to fix this issue. Users are advised to update the app via the Galaxy Store immediately to ensure an uninterrupted calling experience.

Updating is quite simple, just open the Galaxy Store, search for the Bixby Wakeup app, and update to the latest version. However, the update may not appear immediately for all users because Samsung releases it in batches. In that case, you can wait a few more days to receive the stable version.
