Samsung has recently released details of its February 2025 security patch. While many Galaxy devices have yet to receive the first update of the year, the company has already started rolling out the new security patch to its products.
As usual, the new patch includes not only fixes from Google for the entire Android ecosystem but also additional security measures specifically for Galaxy devices. Among the vulnerabilities patched in the Android operating system, one critical vulnerability was fixed, along with nearly thirty high-risk vulnerabilities.
In addition, Samsung released fixes for seven security vulnerabilities that directly affect Galaxy devices. Notably, several vulnerabilities related to devices using Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets running on Android 12 to 14 were addressed. Additionally, a vulnerability that could threaten Galaxy smartwatches running Wear OS and One UI Watch was also fixed.
Samsung has not yet officially rolled out the February 2025 update to any devices, but that should change soon. For some models, the security patch may be released alongside the Android 15 and One UI 7 updates, which are expected to begin rolling out in the coming weeks.
Galaxy device users should regularly check for updates by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install to ensure their devices are always secure and running at their best.
