After a pause due to a serious bug, Samsung has now resumed the release of the One UI 7 update for the 2024 series of foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and Fold SE. This is a newer software version, which is expected to completely fix the bugs that affected the user experience.

Previously, the Galaxy S24 trio were the first devices to receive the official One UI 7 update, but at the same time, they were also the group of devices that were quickly withdrawn after discovering a bug related to the unlocking process. However, not only is the S24 series affected, but the Fold 6, Flip 6, and Fold SE are also on the list of delayed devices.

Samsung resumed the One UI 7 rollout for the Galaxy S24 on April 17, and now the new update has also started to reach Fold 6, Flip 6, and Fold SE users in Korea. This is a bug-fixed software version, ensuring more stability than the first version.

Users can check and download via Settings > Software update > Download and install. Samsung has not yet confirmed when the update will be expanded to other regions outside of Korea, but it is expected to happen soon in the next few days.

According to the update roadmap announced in many markets, all 2024 flagship models will receive Android 15 (One UI 7) in April. However, with the interruption of nearly a week, it is likely that some regions will have to wait until May. Also next month, previous high-end models such as the Galaxy S23, Z Fold 5, and the mid-range A55 and A56 will start receiving the official update.
