Samsung has resumed the One UI 7 update rollout, starting in South Korea. The company is rolling out a new stable build to the Galaxy S24 series, including devices that installed the first update last week. The new version comes with critical bug fixes that caused Samsung to pause the global rollout earlier. The update is expected to hit the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in the coming days.

On April 7, Samsung officially released the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series in South Korea. The update then expanded to the US, Europe, and Canada within a week. The update was scheduled to be rolled out globally earlier this week. However, midway through the rollout, Samsung discovered a critical bug and immediately pulled the update from its servers.

While it didn't specify the specific bug, Samsung is now pushing the One UI 7 update back to the Galaxy S24 series. Those who installed the original update last week will receive a small patch, weighing in at under 300MB for the Galaxy S24+ and around 450MB for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. For those who haven't installed the previous update, the update will be larger than 5GB, including bug fixes and official features.

In South Korea, Samsung is rolling out the YD9 build for the Galaxy S24 series, which coincides with the Galaxy S25's big April update. This suggests that both flagships are now in sync in terms of features and performance.

Samsung is expected to expand the One UI 7 update to the Galaxy S24 globally soon, followed by the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Other eligible Galaxy devices will start receiving the update in late April or early May. The entire One UI 7 rollout is expected to be completed by July, with over 80 supported models. We will continue to update you with the latest information on the rollout progress.
