Samsung has just officially announced that the Gemini AI assistant will soon be available on the Galaxy Watch line of wearables and Galaxy Buds. This will be a big step forward in making smart wearables more useful and intuitive than ever.

With Gemini, Galaxy Watch users can use voice commands to perform tasks such as setting reminders, checking the weather, or asking for a summary of the latest email content. You just need to say something like “Remind me to use cabinet number 43 today” or “Recap of recent emails,” and Gemini will handle it immediately. This feature is compatible with many applications, helping you not to be interrupted when you are focusing on work or moving.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro also play an important role in the Gemini experience. Although Gemini does not work directly on the headphones, users can still access it by voice command or using a long press. Samsung says this will make it feel more seamless, especially when you're on the go and can't reach for your phone.

Samsung hasn't announced a specific release date for the Gemini update for wearables, but has confirmed that the feature will be available in the coming months. Gemini will likely be integrated into the One UI 8 Watch update that's currently in development, and could completely replace Google Assistant on newer Galaxy Watch models.

So far, only the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro are mentioned in the announcement, which could mean older models won't support the feature. Samsung is expected to reveal more details at its Unpacked event in July, when the Galaxy Watch 8 is likely to be announced.
