After a long wait, Samsung has finally started rolling out the One UI 7 update in the US. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is one of the first devices in the market to get the new interface along with the Galaxy S24 series. Beta users will receive the update first, while the remaining devices will be updated in the coming days. Other eligible Galaxy models will also start receiving the update this month.

For the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the One UI 7 update comes with the software code BYCK. For the Galaxy S24 series, the build code is BYCG. If you're running the previous beta version, the update will only weigh in at around 500MB. However, users upgrading from One UI 6.1 or 6.1.1 will need to download the OTA update package that's over 5GB in size, as One UI 7 brings a lot of changes and new features.

One UI 7, based on Android 15, marks a major step forward for the Galaxy ecosystem. The update brings a completely revamped interface, AI tools deeply integrated into many applications, upgraded cameras, smoother transition effects, and many attractive personalization options. This is considered a comprehensive upgrade for the user experience.

Samsung has been rolling out this stable update in Korea since April 7, then expanded to Europe, and now the US. In the next few days, Galaxy Z Fold 6 users in the US will receive an update notification depending on their carrier and device version.

To check for updates on your Galaxy device, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Samsung also confirmed that One UI 7 will continue to be released to many more smartphones and tablets in the coming weeks, expected to be completed by the end of June.
