After weeks of waiting, Samsung has officially released the stable One UI 7 update based on Android 15 for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 duo. This move comes right after the company released a similar update for a series of devices, such as the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Tab S10, Galaxy Tab S9, and Galaxy S24 FE on the same day.

Although the One UI 7 update program started on April 7, Samsung was forced to suspend the rollout just a few days later due to a serious error. Before being suspended, the update was released in Korea, the US, Canada, and Europe for the Galaxy S24, Fold 6, Flip 6, and Fold SE series. After a period of testing and releasing patches, the company continued to expand the update to other devices.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 are the latest models to be added to the One UI 7 update list. Currently, South Korean users have started receiving software built with the code EYD9. The update weighs around 4.8GB for the Fold 5, and is likely the same for the Flip 5, although the size may vary slightly depending on the region.

One UI 7 is considered a major update, bringing many significant changes such as a smooth new interface, improved multitasking, more intelligent AI features, and improved overall performance. With a large capacity, the update promises to bring a more complete user experience on Samsung's foldable devices.

Samsung is expected to soon expand the One UI 7 update to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 in other markets in the coming days, and continue to deploy it to the remaining Galaxy phones and tablets from now until July.
