Although Samsung's One UI 7 update roadmap previously disappointed many people when some models had to wait until May to be upgraded, the company is actually rolling it out faster than expected. Most recently, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 have officially been updated to One UI 7, surprising users.

Currently, Samsung has started releasing One UI 7 for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 in Korea, just like the company rolled out for the newer Fold and Flip models. The update, codenamed HYD9, also includes the April 2025 Android security patch, helping the device to be better protected against new security risks.

With this update, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 officially join the list of foldable devices that have been upgraded to One UI 7, including the Fold 6, Flip 6, Fold SE, Fold 5, and Flip 5. Currently, these models have started receiving the update globally, so Fold 4 and Flip 4 users in many other countries will also receive the upgrade notification soon.

Initially, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 were expected to have to wait until May to receive the One UI 7 update. However, the fact that Samsung has accelerated the progress in some markets shows that the company is making great efforts to complete the software update process earlier than planned. In the coming weeks, it is possible that more Galaxy devices will be upgraded to One UI 7 before April ends.
