Samsung has officially released the stable One UI 7 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 in the US market. Thus, the clamshell phone model has joined the list of the first devices to receive the Android 15 update, alongside the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Currently, devices that have participated in the beta program are being prioritized for the update first, while regular users will also receive notifications in the next few days.

The One UI 7 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 comes with the software code BYCJ. For users using the beta version, the download size is around 500MB. However, if you upgrade directly from One UI 6.1, the update package will be significantly larger, around 5GB or more. Despite the large size, this is one of the most complete and feature-rich software updates in recent times. In addition to the interface and feature changes, this update also integrates the April 2025 security patch.

One UI 7 is built on Android 15, bringing a series of notable improvements, such as smoother animation effects, advanced interface customization tools, new widgets for the lock screen, and a redesigned Quick Panel interface. This stable update was previously rolled out in Korea and Europe and is now officially available in the US for the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Depending on the carrier and region, the update time may vary slightly, but all versions (including locked and unlocked) are expected to be updated in the next few days.

To check if your device has received One UI 7, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. According to the roadmap, Samsung will continue to release One UI 7 to many other Galaxy models this month, with plans to complete the entire thing before June.
