Samsung has extended the June 2025 security patch rollout for its latest foldable devices. The Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Fold SE are now receiving the update in South Korea, before rolling out to other regions such as Europe and North America.
The update brings important security and stability improvements to all three foldable devices. According to Samsung, more than 60 security vulnerabilities have been fixed, mainly Android vulnerabilities, along with some Galaxy-specific software fixes. These improvements help to enhance device protection while ensuring a smoother user experience.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6, Z Fold 6, and Z Fold SE all receive the same software update codenamed BYER. Unlike the Galaxy S25 and S24 series, which received a bootloader upgrade this month, the foldable models have yet to see major platform changes, suggesting that the One UI 8 beta for foldables may not be ready yet.
However, Samsung is likely to launch the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 in the coming weeks. The Galaxy S25 series has already received the first two betas, and the Galaxy S24 is also on the update roadmap. The stable One UI 8 version is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 next month.
While waiting for the bigger updates, users should check for the latest June security patch. To check manually, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. SamCafe will continue to update as Samsung expands the rollout and launches further beta programs.
