Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 8 Watch Beta update for the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra as promised. The update is currently rolling out in South Korea and may soon be expanded to the US market.
According to user information, the first beta of One UI 8 Watch for the two latest watch models brings a new interface design and at least four advanced health features. In the US, the update is currently only available for Bluetooth versions and LTE devices using the T-Mobile network.
The update size is over 1.9GB, which is considered quite large for a wearable device. Users can only download it via a Wi-Fi connection and need to update the Samsung Members, Galaxy Wearable, and Watch Manager apps to the latest version from the Galaxy Store before installing.
For the Galaxy Watch 7, the update uses the firmware code L305NKOU1ZYFE, while the Galaxy Watch Ultra has the code L705NKOU1ZYFE. It should be noted that these firmware codes only apply to devices in the Korean market; the US version will have a different code.
Users who want to test early can register to participate via the Samsung Members app using the same Samsung account as the account logged in on the watch. After successfully registering, you go to the Galaxy Wearable app to check and download the update. When the installation process is complete, the device will automatically restart. If you encounter any errors during use, you can send feedback via the Feedback section in the Samsung Members app.
