While rumors have suggested that Samsung could launch the One UI 8 beta as early as next week, the company is currently focused on completing the One UI 7 rollout for the rest of its Galaxy devices. After rolling it out to the Galaxy A54, Samsung has now extended the update to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series.
The Galaxy Tab S9 FE and S9 FE+ have officially received the One UI 7 update with a firmware version ending in CYE1. The OTA update weighs in at nearly 3.6GB and includes the April 2025 security patch. As of now, the update has only been reported in South Korea, but Samsung is expected to roll it out to other regions in the coming days.
If you own one of these two tablets, the One UI 7 update should appear in Settings soon. Depending on the region and device version, the size and build code may vary, but the update content will be similar. Some notable improvements include smoother animations, a new multitasking tool, and AI features that are deeply integrated into many system apps.
To check for the update, you can go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Since the release is rolling out in batches, users in some regions may have to wait a little longer.
Meanwhile, Samsung is said to be preparing to release the first beta of One UI 8 for the Galaxy S25 series this month. However, the stable update for the general public may not start rolling out until August.
