After releasing the June 2025 security patch for the Galaxy S25 trio, Samsung has started rolling out the first update for the newest member of the series, the Galaxy S25 Edge. Currently, the update is only available in the Korean market, but it is expected to expand to other regions such as the US and many other countries in the near future.
According to information from the Samsung community forum, this update is about 648MB in size and has the software version number S937NKSS1AYE5. Similar to other Galaxy S25 models, the June 2025 patch for the Galaxy S25 Edge is currently limited to the domestic market.
However, one difference is that this build does not include a new bootloader version like on the Galaxy S25, S25+ or S25 Ultra. Specifically, while the Galaxy S25 trio uses bootloader version 4 (shown by the fifth character from the end of the build code), the Galaxy S25 Edge still retains the old version. This suggests that the ability to receive the One UI 8 beta of this model may not come immediately.
In terms of security, the June 2025 update brings more than 60 patches, including 36 Android-related fixes and 10 Samsung-specific security patches. These updates help the device enhance its protection against system errors, data leaks, and other threats.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is part of Samsung's 7-year commitment to support Android and security updates. If you are using this device, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to check for and install the latest update. Make sure the phone is connected to Wi-Fi and has enough battery before proceeding. SamCafe will continue to update if there is new information.
