Samsung has officially released the June 2025 security patch for the Galaxy S23 series, starting with the Korean market. This continues to be the country where Samsung prioritizes deploying the first software updates. This update mainly focuses on improving system security, ensuring the device operates more stably and securely.
Before coming to the Galaxy S23, the June patch was released for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S24, and some mid-range smartphone models, depending on the region. For the Galaxy S23 series alone, the update includes 55 bug fixes, including 36 Android system bugs that are considered serious security risks and 19 bugs that Samsung itself discovered and handled to optimize security for Galaxy devices.
Users can check and install the new update by accessing the device Settings, selecting Software Update, then tapping Download and Install. The corresponding software versions include S911NKSS6DYE5 for Galaxy S23, S916NKSS6DYE5 for Galaxy S23 Plus, and S918NKSS6DYE5 for Galaxy S23 Ultra.
According to the update notes, the patch mainly improves the security of the system without adding any notable new features. The installation package size is about 450MB. Although there are no major changes in the interface or features, Galaxy S23 users should still install the patch early to ensure that the device is always in the safest state.
