Samsung has started rolling out the Android 15-based One UI 7 update for the Galaxy M33 in several countries across Asia, Europe, and Latin America, just a week after it hit the South Korean version. This is the third major Android OS upgrade for the mid-range phone, bringing a redesigned interface, many new features, and significant improvements in performance and security.

The new software update, with the model number M336BXXUCFYE5, weighs around 3.5GB and comes with the May 2025 security patch. Although it is not the latest patch, it still makes the device more secure against recently patched vulnerabilities. Currently, users in many countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Argentina, Mexico, Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and European countries such as the Netherlands, Serbia, and Ukraine have started receiving this update. Other markets are also expected to be rolled out soon.

To check and install the update, users just need to go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the download is complete, tap the Install Now button to start the upgrade. The device will reboot and users can experience the new One UI 7 interface.

The Galaxy M33 was launched in early 2022 with Android 12. It has received Android 13 and 14 updates in the past two years. With this upgrade to Android 15, the device is at the third milestone in its software upgrade cycle. The Android 16 update is expected to be the last major upgrade before the end of the Galaxy M33's software support lifecycle.
