Samsung has just released a new software update for the international version of the Galaxy A55, which comes with the June 2025 security patch. This update is now rolling out in some markets, including Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
The update has the software code A556EXXU8BYF3, focusing on improving system stability and fixing many recently discovered security vulnerabilities. Galaxy A55 users in Vietnam can check and install the update by going to Settings, selecting Software update, then tapping Download and install.
In addition to the direct update over the air, users can also download the firmware file from Samsung's official database and install it manually using a Windows computer. Before performing this method, it is recommended to back up all data to avoid losing information during the upgrade process.
In addition to the security patch, the Galaxy A55 is also on the list of devices eligible to receive the One UI 8.0 update based on Android 16. Samsung is currently in the internal testing phase, but there is no specific schedule for the official release date for this device.
In the near future, Samsung is expected to continue expanding the June update to other variants of the Galaxy A55, including versions for the Chinese, European, and Korean markets. Users should regularly check for updates to ensure their devices are always in the best security state.
