Cheap Samsung phones are about to get the Now Bar feature thanks to One UI 7

One UI 7.0 based on Android 15 brings a lot of new features to Galaxy device users, including Now Bar. This is a small widget that appears at the bottom center of the lock screen, providing information about ongoing activities such as playing music, recording voice, or setting a timer. This feature has been available on the Galaxy S25 and the beta version of the Galaxy S24, but the question is whether the low-cost phones will get the update. According to a recent leak, the answer is yes.

Last week, an internal training document for the Galaxy A06 5G appeared online, revealing that the phone will be equipped with Now Bar. This is a positive sign, indicating that Samsung is likely to bring this feature to low-cost phones as well. If the Galaxy A06 5G, a low-cost device, can have Now Bar, then other Galaxy A models are also likely to get this feature.

This fits with Samsung's strategy of spreading intelligent AI features across its product lines, regardless of price. The Now Bar appearing on more devices will make it easier for users to monitor activities and perform quick operations without unlocking the phone.

Despite the positive news about the Now Bar, the One UI 7.0 rollout is still slower than in previous years. Normally, Samsung will quickly update the new Android version after Google releases it, but this time there has been a significant delay. Samsung said it needs more time to make big strides with One UI 7 and integrate AI features more smoothly.

However, some reports indicate that the company is still sticking to the schedule for One UI 8.0 based on Android 16, which is expected to launch in the second half of this year. This has led many to expect that, after completing the One UI 7.0 rollout, Samsung will speed up the progress for the next software versions.

The appearance of Now Bar on Galaxy A06 5G is a sign that Samsung is not only focusing on the high-end segment but also improving the experience for ordinary users. With smart features gradually becoming popular, the experience of using Galaxy phones promises to become more convenient and synchronized in the near future.
