Samsung has started rolling out the Android 15-based One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6. While devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Flip 5, and Galaxy S23 series are expected to receive the stable update in May, the One UI 7 rollout has been temporarily halted due to a serious bug that affects the ability to unlock the device. However, it seems that this is not the only bug.
According to a new report from SamMobile, some users have found that the battery icon has disappeared from the status bar after updating to One UI 7. And the culprit is none other than the QuickStar module in Good Lock.
The reason is that users previously used QuickStar to disable the battery icon while using One UI 6.x. When updating to One UI 7, the system uses a way to display the battery icon and battery percentage integrated into the same icon. But if you have disabled the battery icon before, the system will not automatically turn it back on after the upgrade, causing this icon to “disappear”.
The solution is very simple: you just need to open the Good Lock application, select the QuickStar module, go to “Visibility of Indicator Icons”, then turn on the “Battery Icon” option again, and you are done.
